7 Reasons You Haven't Been Able to Break Your Habits, Patterns or Behaviours
You’ve tried.
You’ve reflected.
You’ve journaled.
You’ve set goals.
You may have even gone to therapy.
And yet… the same pattern keeps looping back.
If that’s you, this guide is going to feel like a deep exhale.
Because the reason change hasn’t fully landed isn’t because you’re lazy, weak, or broken.
It’s because habits don’t live in your logic.
They live in your subconscious and nervous system.
(Even though you have tried everything)
A free guide to help you understand what’s really keeping you stuck — and why it’s not a lack of willpower.

WHY THIS GUIDE IS DIFFERENT
Most advice about breaking habits focuses on discipline, mindset, or motivation.
But emotional reactions, coping mechanisms, and repeating behaviours aren’t controlled by the logical mind — especially under stress.
They’re wired into your body.
This guide gently explains the biological and subconscious reasons patterns persist, even when you “know better.”
No shame.
No force.
No pushing yourself harder.
Just clarity.

WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER
Inside this free guide, you’ll learn:
• Why working with your mind alone doesn’t create lasting change
• How your nervous system may believe the pattern is keeping you safe
• The hidden emotional layers fuelling your behaviour
• Why self-sabotage is often self-protection
• Why force and pressure backfire
• How habits live in the body — not just the brain
• Why the right support changes everything
Each section includes gentle reflection prompts to help you begin shifting awareness safely.
HOW YOU'LL FEEL AFTER READING
After reading this guide, you’ll:
• Feel reassured that you’re not broken
• Understand why change hasn’t stuck yet
• See your patterns through a nervous system lens
• Experience less shame and more compassion
• Feel clearer about your next step
Instead of asking:
“Why can’t I fix this?”
You’ll begin asking:
“What is this protecting?”
And that shift changes everything.

ABOUT JO
Hi, I’m Jo — Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, and former Registered Nurse and Paramedic.
After decades in frontline healthcare, I saw firsthand that many struggles aren’t just physical — they live beneath the surface, in the subconscious and nervous system.
Today, I help people gently shift the emotional patterns and automatic responses they’ve tried everything to change.
My work blends clinical understanding with subconscious healing and grounded nervous system support — always in a way that feels safe, steady, and respectful of your experience.
This guide is an introduction to that deeper layer.

Testimonials
After only 2 hypnotherapy sessions & now some inner child work with Jo, I feel such a different shift in my body & clarity in my mind that no other practice has done before.
Jo has a natural ability to help you to heal deep trauma wounds, from within the body, while at the same time explaining & teaching you how trauma is stored & why it’s so important to release it.
Thanks Jo, I am so glad I found you, your work is exactly what I was looking for, and it has already exceeded the hopes I held for myself so far I am extremely grateful ☺️🙏🏼

When l first reached out to Jo, l felt an instant connection. I first spoke with Jo twelve months ago, in my healing process to break my alcoholism.
I am 2 weeks away from not having an alcoholic drink in 12 months. Not only did Jo help me with this, she also helped heal my childhood trauma, that l thought l had dealt with.
I have never felt more in turned & balance in my life.
I am truly grateful & blessed to have had all my hypnotherapy sessions with Jo.

I started seeing Jo when I was in a very muddled and lost space.
Over time, Jo has taught me to connect back with myself and build confidence in who I am and my place in this world.
I can honestly say that I look forward to each and every session and that this journey has put me on the path I’m meant to be on. I’m learning to listen to myself, trust my gut and become grounded when my brain wants to go elsewhere. Could not recommend enough and can truthfully say Jo has greatly impacted my life and it’s course for the better!
